The eighteenth China Jeanswest Cup casual wear design contest announced the eastern division

On the evening of September 9th, the "18th China Jeanswest Cup Casual Wear Design Competition" Eastern Division Final was successfully concluded at the Nanjing International Exhibition Center. This special selection was held during the 11th Jiangsu International Fashion Festival. As an integral part of the festival's opening ceremony, the Eastern Division showcased the original works of 20 young designers from Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Fujian, and Shandong. Through energetic catwalk shows and models' dynamic presentations, these creations offered a stunning visual experience for over 600 on-site guests. Each piece beautifully captured the essence of its designer’s innovative concepts. Among the finalists, the works titled "Run It! Scarecrow" stood out as particularly striking examples of creativity and fashion trends. These five outstanding pieces will now advance to compete against winners from the Chengdu, Guangzhou, and Shenyang regional competitions in the grand final scheduled for November in Beijing’s 798 Art Zone. From these four divisions, a total of 20 entries will vie for the coveted gold, silver, and bronze awards. This year’s competition received an impressive 5,645 submissions, surpassing last year's count of 1,952 entries for the Eastern Division alone. These works were submitted by participants from across the country and even included contributions from international designers. Contestants infused their designs with vibrant and fresh elements, showcasing remarkable creativity and skill. Many garments celebrated significant milestones such as the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the 30th anniversary of reform and opening-up. Since its inception, the "China Jeanswest Cup Casual Wear Design Competition" has become a highly respected platform for nurturing young talent in the fashion world. Over the years, it has launched the careers of countless promising designers. As one of the most prestigious events in China's fashion industry, it draws participation from designers both locally and internationally. In an interview, Mr. Yang Xun, Chairman of Jeanswest International (Hong Kong) Limited, emphasized that this competition has evolved beyond being merely a contest—it has become an industry event dedicated to fostering young talent. That evening, esteemed judges such as top Chinese fashion designer Luo Yaping, Zhang Yichao, Zhu Lin, Yang Qibin, Zhang Qixiu, and Zhou Yao Zhang, along with notable figures like Huang Yali and BOBO presence, attended the event. Together with hundreds of spectators, they witnessed the culmination of this exciting competition.
