The holidays are shaping up to be quite different this year. If you're planning to stay home, you might not need those fancy party outfits, but it can still feel disappointing to wear the same everyday clothes day after day. That's where Liesl + Co. comes in.
We've put together some creative, straightforward, and festive fabric and pattern combinations that you can whip up just in time for the holidays. This year, why not turn your cozy, stay-at-home wardrobe into something just as exciting as your going-out attire?
If this sounds appealing, keep an eye out for our new Liesl + Co. patterns, which will be available on Monday! Some of these designs are perfect for creating a relaxed yet stylish holiday vibe at home.
One of the best ways to elevate casual patterns is by choosing the right fabrics—think velvets and sequins. Here are some simple yet glamorous silhouettes that could easily be made using Liesl + Co. patterns:

Clockwise from the top left:
1. This playful Mini Boden raglan sweatshirt could be made using the Neighborhood Sweatshirt pattern—or the Field Trip Raglan for the kids!
2. A baseball tee with stretch velvet accents is another fantastic option for the Neighborhood Sweatshirt or the Field Trip Raglan.
3, 4, and 5. This boxy silhouette resembles the Bento Tee. We even have a tutorial for adding a keyhole back detail here. (Garments inspired by Banana Republic, Free People, Anthropologie)
6. Another fun raglan hack here—with cuffs too! These cuffs could look fantastic in a contrasting fabric. (Inspired by Habitual)
7. I adore the deep V in the back of this Shein top, which could easily be recreated using any of our knit top patterns, such as the Metro T-Shirt. Simply sketch the desired shape for the back neckline and finish the entire neckline with a facing instead of a band.
8. Widen the sleeves from the bottom to mimic this design from Express, using any of our knit top patterns. Add sequins for some dazzling loungewear.
And don't forget about the bottoms!

Clockwise from left to right: 1. Eloquii; 2. Ann Taylor; 3. Eloquii; 4. Loft; 5. Cupcakes and Cashmere; 6. Loft; 7. Sundance Catalog; 8. Loft.
I absolutely love these ideas for the Montauk Trousers and the Kensington Knit Skirt. The Montauk pattern doesn’t come with an elasticized hem, but that’s an easy tweak. Stretch velvet lounge pants? Now that sounds like pure comfort and style combined!
So, what are your holiday plans? Are you staying home or making other arrangements?
Happy Thanksgiving!
