Yesterday, I mentioned that I’d share some fabric recommendations for our latest Oliver + S pattern, the Girl on the Go Dress + Top. It's set to launch next Monday morning, and trust me, you’re going to love working with this pattern!

For both the dress and top versions, I suggest cotton jersey, interlock, French terry, or sweatshirt fleece. Ponte could also work if you're feeling adventurous. Honestly, there are so many fantastic knit options available today, so let’s dive into the details.
I picked this striped interlock knit from Cloud 9 for the pink striped tops. Their fabrics are organic, and they offer an array of vibrant colorways that the girls absolutely adore. Plus, they’ve got some beautiful prints in their collection too.

For the green dress, I went with the Wink interlock in Pond from Birch’s Mod Basics line (another great choice with amazing colors). The fabric for the blue dress came from somewhere in Belgium, but unfortunately, I couldn’t track it down. However, Birch has something very similar in their Basics collection, so don’t worry—there are still plenty of options.
All of Birch’s fabrics are organic, which I personally love. The Mod Basics come in a wide range of colors that I find irresistible. Here are just a few examples, but click the link if you want to explore the full selection.

Then I stumbled upon some fantastic knits at Monaluna. Did you know their fabrics are organic as well? (Oh no, S is going to go bananas over those bear prints!)

Art Gallery fabrics are another must-check-out option. Some of their prints are absolutely breathtaking.

For colder weather, I thought it might be fun to make the dress using French terry (love that indigo shade!) or sweatshirt fleece. Robert Kaufman offers some excellent choices, along with a great variety of solid and printed jersey.

S has been obsessed with pineapples lately, so I couldn’t resist these delightful prints from Dear Stella.

There are just so many incredible fabric options out there right now! What are your favorites?
