We’re thrilled to announce that we’ll be hosting a sew-along for the brand-new Chaval Coat pattern starting January 13th and running through January 22nd. Each day will feature detailed photo illustrations along with our trusted, high-quality instructions, plus Liesl’s expert tips to guide you step-by-step through the entire process. This coat is designed to be a staple in your wardrobe, offering timeless style and functionality that will carry you through fall, winter, and even into the early days of spring. ### Chaval Coat Sew-Along Schedule - **Day 1** (Monday, January 13): Gather Your Materials - **Day 2** (Tuesday, January 14): Select Your Size & Make Necessary Adjustments - **Day 3** (Wednesday, January 15): Get Started – Prepare the Pocket Flaps & Sew the Pockets - **Day 4** (Friday, January 17): Assemble the Back, Prepare the Facing and Lining - **Day 5** (Monday, January 20): Sew the Collar, Attach It Properly, and Sew the Sleeves - **Day 6** (Wednesday, January 22): Assemble the Coat and Lining, Hem and Finalize Your Creation ### How to Participate Before the sew-along begins, make sure you’ve got your pattern ready, whether it’s in paper or digital form. Choose your fabric and gather all necessary supplies. For sizes 0-8, you’ll need 3 1/2 yards of outer fabric and 2 1/2 yards of lining fabric. Larger sizes will require 3 3/4 yards of outer fabric and 2 3/4 yards of lining fabric. Keep in mind that you should add a bit more fabric if you plan to match patterns or work with napped fabrics. Additionally, don’t forget to purchase interfacing, three buttons, and matching thread.
