Textile Testing Laboratory Settled in Quanzhou

After nearly 10 years of construction and efforts to win, three national key laboratories, including the National Footwear Testing Center (National Key Laboratory for the Detection of Shoes) and the National Key Laboratory of Textile Testing, have successively settled in Quanzhou.

The settlement of these three laboratories led Quanzhou to form a national key laboratory as a leader, supported by regional center laboratories and comprehensive laboratories, with “multiple sampling, internal distribution, unified management, and high-quality convenience”. The main business features, covering the whole network of inspection and quarantine laboratories in Quanzhou, provide a strong technical guarantee for Quanzhou's import and export commodities to respond to foreign technical barriers and improve product quality.

Among them, the National Footwear Testing Center is a state-level key laboratory specialized in footwear product testing, technology research and development, and technical services that has been verified by the AQSIQ. The center has more than 180 sets of equipments (sets), with a total value of 17 million yuan, including the introduction of the international advanced 3D foot scanner, sports biomechanics test system, established the first domestic footwear sports biomechanics application laboratory. The testing area covers 32 product categories including sports shoes and casual shoes.

The National Textile Testing Laboratory was established in Shishi. The laboratory is a combination of textile and garment testing, scientific research and development, technical training and consulting, standard formulation, information collection, and international exchange. It is a CNCA accredited laboratory and a CNAS accredited laboratory. At present, the laboratory is stepping up efforts to build the province's first imported cotton laboratories. It is estimated that after the cotton laboratories are completed in the second half of 2012, they can detect imported cotton from 50,000 to 100,000 tons per year.
