More than 40 pairs of masks will be on display From January 28th onwards, more than 40 pairs of masks will be displayed in an exhibition held at the University of Edinburgh Anatomy Museum. Some of these masks will be drawn from the face of the deceased and some will be drawn from the face of the living person.

In addition to seeing Shakespeare's mask of death, visitors can also see the death masks of the famous physicist Newton, the Scottish writer Walter Scott and King George III of the United Kingdom at the University of Edinburgh Anatomy Museum exhibition.

This mask was very popular in the 19th century when it was widely used in skull imaging. However, now that cranial imaging has been proven to be pseudoscience, cranial imaging assumes that human skull shapes and sizes can help explain their thoughts and behavior.

When the photos become common, the mask is no longer popular, but occasionally it is used to preserve the facial features of public figures or unidentified bodies.

Shakespeare's death mask was discovered in the 1940s in Darmstadt, Germany. German scientists claimed that it was Shakespeare's death mask after a series of tests.

The true appearance of this great poet has caused speculation for centuries, but there are also many experts questioning the authenticity of Shakespeare's death mask.

Don’t be timid with the murderer’s bones For those of you who are bold enough, this exhibition will surely make them feast for the eyes. William Burke’s mask, skeletons and his human skin products will also appear on the exhibition. In the 1820s, William Burke and his accomplice, William Hale, jointly committed at least 15 murders. They sold the bodies to the University of Edinburgh for use in anatomy classes. Later, Burke and Haier were arrested. The authorities said that if Haier could plead guilty and testify against Burke, he could be excused from prosecution. In 1829 Burke was sentenced to hang and his body was openly dissected at the Edinburgh Medical School.

The professor responsible for the anatomy was Alexander Monroe. He used a quill pen to capture Burke's blood donation and wrote: "These words were written in the blood of William Burke. Burke was hanged in Edinburgh and blood was taken from His head."

The University of Edinburgh’s Anatomy Museum has recently been refurbished and will reopen the museum on the 183th anniversary of Burke’s execution.
